Sir ArmaMalum1 votesI run a port series here called Sir Armamalum Let's Talk ([SALT] for short) where I have discussions about varying topics, usually ones that pertain to ethics and people. The next voted topic is about the Age difference in the League Playerbase, as well as the perceived age and the social stigma one may place on any random player.
Now, I would love to use pre-established data, but unfortunately the closest I couldget was that infographic Riot released claiming the playerbase was 80% 16-30 year olds, which didn't really tell me much in regards of sterotypical interaction. And anything industry wide dealt with consoles and mobile gaming as well, which throws of the data a whooooole lot. So I decided to do my own. It won't be accurate to the playerbase and it's by no means well made, but I'll at least have some numbers to back any talk about where the average lies.
Dragon Fang Shot1 votesCurrently, it looks like 73% of people are 16-30, which is only 7% off. I can see why Riot's statistic may be wrong, since people often lie about their age to seem older or just because they don't care about age and put in random dates (I did the first one so I could play Runescape when I was younger). It looks like Riot was being the most truthful they could be, but it was a good idea to go a step further and get the info like how you are. Hope your SALT goes well :)
