Riot Games: "We don't care about Twisted Treeline"

Cause if we did we would have realized that raising the jungle items 100 gold made the first jungle run on TT impossible, many junglers cannot even clear the first TWO camps!

But we don't care about TT. So suck it players!

You haven't been playing TT that long if you believe it to be impossible to jungle TT considering you jungled differently before this item existed to begin with. Just jungle the junglers with the other start.

I started spirit stone which no longer exists...

They already said that in their dev blog months ago.

Where? Anyhow still makes me sad.

Having a deep, unified competitive scene on Summoner's Rift - rather than a fragmented one split over multiple maps/modes - better supports our goals of making League of Legends a long-lasting, competitive game with deep potential for skill development. That’s not to say other maps or game modes don’t have interesting things to offer, but there are many benefits (and tradeoffs) for choosing to focus on one.

Wait...people actually do the jungle in TT at the start? I have always seen a solo and a duo lane with people taking camps to supplement their incomes between waveclears o.o

I always jungle. With the old price of 750 for a complete item I would do this (my fav was Wukong):

  1. Camps spawn you have 2 smites to use. Attack wolves and when you are semi damaged smite the big wolf RIGHT BEFORE IT ATTACKS YOU (since it gets stunned). Chug one pot and proceed to golemns.
  2. Attack golemns; smite the big one right before he swings at you. DO NOT CHUG A POT.
  3. Kill wraiths and back.
  4. When back continue building into your final jungle item; I start building item 3134 . Maybe pick up boots too.
  5. THE SECOND you get back to jungle the altars unlock. You get your teams altar and the camps respawn.
  6. Depending on how the lanes are doing either gank or clear camps.

What does this do? Well, you team gets much more XP vs not having a jungle, you get EXTRA jungle gold from having the upgraded jungle item, and you have some nice damage already since you backed well before the laners. This makes you a huge threat against the dual lane team comp.

Unfortunately due to the 100g increase this entire plan is worthless :(.

Thx RITO, sometimes you just suck balls.

have you considered that the meta can change? so rather than reinforce that there has to be a jungler, why not have a duo lane instead?

A duo lane should easily be able to deny creeps from a solo laner if they work together. That should be enough to make up for the loss in gold for having no jungler. Plus you can build targons or spellthiefs for gold. They might even get a kill.

Ummm do you know what META means? It does not mean that Rito inadvertently makes a jungle so strong that it simply cannot be killed. No, that's not it. Also RITO gave us the jungle buffs on TT, so they want it played. But it's impossible now.

Second, the lanes in TT are too small for duo lane to really work. The only real way to deny is to overextend the minions, AKA zoning - and then you are setting yourself up for an easy jungle gank. Not to mention the XP gain as a duo lane pales a solo laner.

Isn't TT just for bots?

This also fucked a lot of junlgers not named Lee Sin on the rift, too.

I agree they screwed Rift junglers too, but at least they made the intended change keeping SR in mind. It's clear they gave TT no thought whatsoever.

Attached is my win/loss as jungler on TT pre-nerf.

Totally agree with this, I don't know why it doesn't have more votes. I love twisted treeline. This makes me sad and mad.
