Ekko seems rather patriotic to Zaun, most likely got it from his friend interesting because when I think of Zaun I think of a huge slum where everyone is sad, perhaps in the past Zaun was good or maybe Zaun has a good thingy but its gone now and Ekko is trying to make Zaun the way it used to be like... Everyone looks at Zaun as just a crummy place and Piltover as amazing, Ekko wants to fix Zaun and stuff Also Ekko dosen't like people from piltover rly

I dont think Zaun ever was a good place but just a place where like you said slums are everywhere and experiments are made. In my eyes Ekko wants Zaun to be known for its technology but no for the mad scientist who go a bit too far. In a way he wants the same title that Piltover has which is "the city of progress"
