I'm taking a break, it just isn't fun

I really really hate this snowball season. Every game is a one sided stomp fest based off of which ever lane gets first tower. It's not the extra gold per-say as its is way too easy to just rotate and take 3 more towers after. It is same story every game. Win lane, rotate, buy items, win. There is no more strategy its you get lead then snowball entire team. In seasons past it was manageable because towers could actually be defended. Now...its just too much snowball. Sure, its kinda fun to stomp the entire enemy team 9 towers to 0 but it isn't challenging anymore. I can 100% predict the outcome of every game now based off of how quickly which team takes towers. I've reviewed games I lose/win its always the same story. Lane, tower, rotate, buy, win. I can win lane 4/0 and 50 cs up but since the enemy team had a better top laner and got his tower first and then mid it didn't matter. If we left lane we lose tower so we have to mindlessly be in lane if the enemy laner is there because a single 1/2 item like a BF sword can take a tower.

It is a rare rare RARE game that towers don't fall before the 10 minute mark. I enjoy these games most because they are challenging and win or lose I liked it. There is likely more to this but the fact is, near every game I'm in this season snowballs. I remember in the past that a laner could snowball and my team could play around it. You could let your tower fall and fall back to the secondary to defend. I never see that anymore.

I love LOL, I have many fond memories of this game. I struggled hard and made it as far as diamond promos in plat 1. I put a lot of my time and effort learning strategies and tactics. I spent endless hours watching pros on twitch and youtube. With regret I need to take a break. I need to admit that I am not having fun in most of my matches now. I'm sure I will play a game or two here or there because it is such a great game but I just can't stand the direction it has gone. I'll be keeping up with LCS and updates and hopefully something will rekindle my drive to play more. I have faith that Riot has a plan and over time the game will feel better. They make so many changes that within 6 months the game will probably feel brand new.

For now though, time to dust off some games I have but placed on hold because LOL called to me.
