Why is Ward a Dirty Word?

Have you ever been in a game Jungling and you see a ping for help from your top laner, only to now see that the enemy jungle has ganked them very well and they are at less than 50% HP. After the top laner has inevitably died and you have finished your camp on the opposite side of the map the top laner starts trashing you over the chat saying that you should have come top and been there to counter gank. Looking more closely at the map you see that the top lane is completely dark except for the creep wave fighting under turret. If your like me you only glance at the map every five seconds and keep it in the corner of your eye the rest of the time making sure that the little red balls are in there respective lane and that there isn't an extra or a missing. So seeing that it is a black mass top side you kindly ask the top laner to perches a ward or two until there trinket can be upgraded so you and them can see the gank coming and move to react. This is were of the top laner says "NO THATS YOUR JOB AND THE SUPPORTS ** ** *** bla bla bla"

Now this is the question I have. Isn't it everyone's job to ward? My league knowledge may be restricted to what I learn watching the LCS in the evening after work and the few tidbits I pick up playing but as far as I know your job in the game for the first 10-15 minutes is to win your lane. So dropping the 75 gold to get actual wards (not just the weak 30 second trinket) is part of winning that lane. Admittedly that's three or so CS but if you're having to farm under turret and can't spare that you don't need to worry about a gank anyway as you should be playing as passive and safe as possible until someone can come bail you out. But even then the Jungle needs to know if it's safe to do so. The Jungle has arguably the largest aria on the map to worry about and laners are wanting them to spend their three wards (and kind of low CS) on there lane?

Because people find it boring to ward and they are stubborn. Wards save lives guys. Just because you aren't support doesn't mean you don't have to ward.

Ward is a 4 letter word Expecting the lowest income members of your team to ward for you is not going to end well. If you think you can't spare the 75 gold, what makes you think they can. (Directed at laners who don't ward) I'll admit i forget to upgrade my trinket and don't buy wards, but i don't blame anyone for not warding my lane when i get ganked and die because i overextended.

Yes. It's everyone's job to ward. Don't expect it to happen at low ELO.

It is everyone's job to ward. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know how to properly play this game.

That being said, if the top laner is purposely overextending and putting themselves in a dangerous position (People tend to do this at lower elos because they don't understand what a lane freeze is and mindlessly push for no reason) then they deserve to die and not get a gank. In this situation, it's better to gank other lanes that are doing well or 'just okay' and get them ahead so that it makes a bigger impact for your team come late game.
