So Syndra is labelled as a Secondary Support
I'm wondering if this is actually viable? To me it comes off as, "I'll lock down this person down so you can take the kill, if you don't succeed I'll take it myself" kind of support.

She's about as good of a support as
it works but it does kind of scream " I don't actually want to support " Since they usually build
and then straight AP carry items.
Syndra support doesn't work, because Syndra is simply a midlaner. She needs gold, kills and a good amount of AP items otherwise she's pretty much useless.
I would assume that it has some merit. She's got a knock-back on E, a slow on W, and a long-range stun on QE combo, so I would assume that it would at least be playable at the very least. Viable, maybe not, but probably playable.
Syndra was able to be played as a Support in S4, because of her W/E and post-6 R.
Syndra support used to be a thing. Also inb4 "death is the best cc"
Syndra's secondary role is support that because of her AoE stun and slow. She is actually a better assassin, like Ahri.
Isn't that every support with decent damage?
Not sure if it's competitively viable, but it's certainly fun.
With the right build and the right plays, you feel like a real support! People tend to think of her as that "mage sent to bot lane" support, but if you use your Q to poke (maxing cdr with the right support items) and ult them (high cdr + low AP), you'll butter up the squishy adc for your adc to finish up.
Some good items include
. That item build goes slightly over the cdr cap, so you don't have to build them all, and you could always sub
if you want a more defensive "save the adc" active.
