The higher i climb, the less diversity i see

I ended season 5 in bronze 3 and as of right now i am in my promos to silver 2. It's great to finally climb, but one thing i actually hate is that both champion diversity and mastery diversity are slowly becoming smaller and smaller.

When i was in bronze, i would see all kinds of champions like Fiddlesticks Karthus Zyra Sejuani Aatrox

and the higher i climb i seem to only see DrMundo Darius Garen Fiora LeeSin Jax Yasuo Zed

It's kind of getting boring seeing the same team comps. Again, when i was in bronze i saw all kinds of keystones. I could recall only seeing one or two thunderlords each game. But now, (excluding myself) i see literally everyone carrying thunderlords decree. It's almost like the higher you climb, the more people you see playing champions that are "currently strong" rather than playing and mastering a champion you ACTUALLY ENJOY PLAYING. I don't know, same with the whole masteries thing. People take thunderlords just because "its stronger than the others". I dont think that's a justifiable mindset to have. I mean, i think that all of the masteries are situationally good in their own way.

Another thing i've noticed is that people are becoming less accepting. I play nautilus jungle and people literally dodge and lose 3LP just because they've "never seen it since season x, dont think it will work".

Kinda makes me wish i was in bronze again, haha. Oh well, what do you think about this?

I find that silver is kind of a tryhard elo. I'm ranked bronze, but only get matched with silver players. People in silver start to really want to climb, so they start playing a lot of the FOTM champions, but they forget that playing OP champions isn't as good as playing champions you're comfortable on.

I don't know why people think that "strong" means "not fun". In my little world, the champions you consistently win with are the most fun ones. I wouldn't hate tanks if I didn't lose every single game I played them.

That's how logic and efficiency works bud. There are always the things that work best, no matter what your talking about. Football? Certain plays are good. Chess? Certain strategies work well. Studying? Same thing. Everything has the most efficient and logical way, and when you start to climb more and more people realize this. In bronze there are so many different factors that AD Soraka jungle is just fine.

I'm not saying that those champions are better than others, but if you take a challenger level Lee sin and a challenger level jungle Naut usually the one playing the better champion will win the game.

Welcome to modern society, where we're taught to look for the easiest way out, instead of potentially having fun along the way.

That's one of the reasons why I like playing ARAM way more than any other mode.
