Unconventional Champs for Specific Roles: Any Reason Why Your Teammates Hate Even Though They WORK?
So this thread mostly stems from me taking Talon jungle, more than I ever use him mid by a very large margin (well, large to me, anyway....), and when I do this...I generally build in a bruiser/tank kind of way.
My history is pretty obvious what I use and Talon is my best champion in win rates for the time being MOSTLY because of the way I play him but people generally get all in a huff because I don't like building him like most would build him mid.
I'm not crazy and understand that because of his kit, he's good for engaging and disengaging (though I really hate to bail on a teamfight, but necessary at times) and his passive and E makes up for what would otherwise be VERY mediocre damage without being a tank with CC (the E slow doesn't truly qualify here compared to the standard we've come to expect).
I'm not saying it's the best and I do try to tailor my build to the situation in each different game but the general premise is the same: I give up HYPER-PEWPEW-DAMAGE in favour of a semi-but-not-really- Juggernaut-vibe of an assassin. I generally lean towards a tanky playstyle and I like Talon's kit. Why not combne the two if I can actually make it function on a reasonably reliable basis?
Regardless, even if my team is winning, I still get called out and insulted despite all the contributions I make which I could not have even DARED to achieve with a one-shot-wonder Talon build.
How about you? What are your off-builds that should earn praise but instead have teammates spamming /all with "report X for troll build" and similar when you've proven that you, yourself, are good and reliable with it?
support: gives you insane bush control, you can juke hard, and you have decent poke.
Jg: Echo's is amazing on her, her initial clears and first few ganks are rough, but once you start getting levels, clears are insanely fast and ganks are better
