What happens to things like LOL if automated systems start muting and interfering with streams and uploaded content:

In this video, Gbay talks about how steams were getting muted for "copyright issues" for music that you legitimately had a copyright to use. If google buys out twitch (they may or may not), it's only going to get worse both for the streamers and the viewers. I mean what's the point of going to an LOL stream if twitch mutes the streamer because LOL music is playing in the background?

We need to be clear whether it is LIVE stream or VOD that is muted. It makes a big difference.

I suspect Twitch is keeping legal issues at bay currently with a compromise of only checking VODs due to technical (financial) issues with checking livestreams. I would not rule out the system going to livestreams at a later date. given that, this discussion is relevant.

I do believe League holds all rights to their music, meaning that anyone getting hit by this automated system for LoL music is getting hit unjustified (Riot allows people to stream their game). This means their system is flawed and needs to be fixed and we can do very little on our side except complain that it is flawed.
