If this is true, I see nothing wrong with it considering that riot is a company.
I don't see "Cute". I see "Rengar's lost cousin thrice removed, and Toothless' inbred brother".
That being said, I can promise Riot if they put the effort into making a Ryze figure that does NOT cost an arm and a leg, like the Thresh statue, they'll likely see more sales.
Gnar plush looks like shit honestly. Stitching and fur quality looks awful, I'll never buy it.
That said... A game company isn't going to design an entire character, putting money into splash art, ingame assets and future balancing just to sell a toy.
