Just the fact the enemy team has a sona. makes the game exponentially harder to win. she does so MUCH damage. infanct my roommate had a game yesterday in GOLD where a sona did more damage than anyone in the entire game. and constantly sona is the only true support than is tanky and gets so many kills and she has so much team utility. i mean shes a bit too overloaded here.
LoL. Sonas damage is crap compared to a real damage support like Zyra, Brand, Velkoz, Karma etc. She's also among the squishiest champions in the game.
As matter-of-fact, she's actually one of the weakest characters in the entire game. At the very least, she's undeniably the weakest support currently in the game. Her W and E are both practically nonexistent spells, she has one of the weakest ults of the whole class and her damage output is lower than any support that isn't named 'Braum.' Not to mention she dies in literally 2 hits or less, yet has no pre-6 CC and sits in the lowest MS-tier despite this fact.
She's a useless character that has to desperately rely on artificial numbers from non-support items like Spellblade and Echo to do literally ANYTHING at all. Without these items, her true winrate falls below 40%, which is significantly lower than any other character in the game.
It's not an exaggeration to say that she's completely unplayable and this was a direct cause of Gutting 4.13. Having a Sona on your own team is a near guaranteed loss, I've even dodged final promotion matches on multiple occasions because it's more logical to accept the loss and just move on rather than suffer playing with a Sona on your team.
Did you just call Sona tanky? She has good harass, but she is definitely not tanky at all. She has no escapes and is very squishy. I just pick all-in supports into her and destroy her a majority of the time. She will beat up on you if you try to play the poke game with her though.

all love seeing a Sona in lane - dodge her poke until level 3 then all in on her and she is easily deleted as she's squishy as hell. If you allow her to poke you down... position improvement is needed.

Sorry, but a great part of the americans in these boards are incapable of starting a discussion because they can't accept anything that goes against their opinion, which means to they a sacred truth. Their only argument is the downvote button, where they can, in a cowardly manner, do their "democracy".
Why does she have more kills than the adcs. and does more damage. like I sometimes troll and go AD soraka when my lower level friends invite me. but man. this is legit. she can build AP and be somewhat tanky and she will do an ABSURD amount of damage. she has enough utility already. keep her a support don't make her a night mare. honestly my team were fighting the lb and running away from the sona. as she did TWICE as much damage as the LB. how is this realistic here for a support.
this shouldn't be happening. I mean it happened to my roommate in gold rank. and me unranked level 30. it keeps on happening. sona carries the team. kills. damage. heals everything. shes hard core. too much if you ask me.
I mean you're not going to be even visible on the damage list as soraka. and imo sona heals more than soraka in a team fight.
