I hate how majority of people defend Ekko as if he is totally balanced

When they all went apeshit on wanting to buff Bard during his release.

Ekko's not balanced...he's really op and needs to be nerfed. More then that little love tap that is on the PBE, out of all his skills...his E is no where near the problem.

Because Ekko is balanced? Every single skill he has is leaking retardedly hard with counterplay

Q: Dodge it, it's really slow and if you aren't stupid you can tell where it's path will be on the return

W: If Ekko uses this he's most likely planning to engage on you for a trade. Stop bunching up. Stop standing still. Get Tenacity. etc.

E: Doesn't really have much counterplay since it's point and click other than waiting out his E's duration which isn't hard to do

R: Honestly, if you get hit by the damage part of this you're blind/stupid. I don't mean to sound rude but really..you see the afterimage..you see the path it'll take. You KNOW exactly where this thing's damage will be. Why stand near it and let him hurt you? People calling this OP are seriously just bad.

Another thing people don't seem to realize: HE'S AN ASSASSIN NOT A MAGE. It's his job to be bursting down squishies. I remember one game in an ekko mirror match I rushed item 1057 and laughed as the enemy ekko didn't do squat to my hp bar.

Let us also not forget, he has no built in reliable sustain. As well as having a terrible early game that's easily abused.

  • If he gets past early game and makes it to mid game he's going to do very well.

  • If he takes a little punishment early game he's not going to be THAT good mid game without outplaying and will spark late game.

  • If he takes a huge beating early on he's not going to have a mid game and will be relevant late game when he gets some items.

Riot intended to make Ekko punish mistakes. That's exactly what he does. If you get hit by any of his spells (except arguably his E) it was a mistake on your part not the fault of Ekko being "OP"
