I've actually asked for this before, but I feel it is good to toss out to the community again.

I understand that it is actually to my benefit to have 3 champion shards available in my loot inventory for when the next champion is released. I then get to reroll them to automatically unlock the new champion. That is truly fantastic and I am certainly not about to complain about this one bit.

However, champions don't come out often enough for me to use 3 champion shards without gaining at least 3 more.

I have tested to see what would happen if I rerolled 3 champion shards at this point. It gave me a permanent champion "shard?", .. which was pretty useless because I still already had that champion. All I could do with it was disenchant it into champion essence, .. which can only be used to turn champion shards into permanent champions... but I have all of the champions. ... You see the problem?

Personally, I would much rather be able to reroll 3 champion shards to unlock a random skin shard.

I want to be clear, I'm asking for a skin SHARD, not even a full skin. Skin shards themselves are arguably less valuable than champion shards, so rolling 3 of them to get a skin shard instead of a permanent champion, or a permanent skin should be more than fair.

not going to happen riot still is a business, and you can just buy champion shards for 1700 ip, which is pretty cheap tbh

I'm not talking about Hextech Mastery Champion Shards.

I'm talking about permanent champions. I didn't know what to refer to the "permanent champion" card itself because that is what you get when you reroll 3 shards. It looks just like a champion shard with the champion's default splash art, but it has a slightly different border, or glow, and it says "permanent champion".

The champions themselves are pretty expensive as far as IP goes, but it is worthless when you already have all of them. Skins however are quite valuable because they can not be purchased with IP, but with real money. Despite this, the Hextech Crafting system still allows you to obtain skins through gameplay.

This would simply return value to champion shards earned upon reaching 100% and 3 shards, but at a diminished value because it would take 3 additional champion shards to earn 1 skin shard. That still isn't even a full skin without the orange essence or 2 more skin shards to reroll.

I don't think you're understanding what he's saying. The shards you get to buy from the shop aren't mastery shards, they're champion shards. As in, turn-them-into-a-champion, champion shards. You can only get mastery shards from getting S- or higher in a game with said champ.

Spend 1700 IP on shards Do it 2 more times, now you're at 3 Reroll them together, receive permanent you don't care about Your shenanigans went through, turn this permanent into a skin shard Rinse repeat until out of IP or you have every available skin

The shards you can buy with 1700 are rerollable like all the rest, dude. If your changes went through they'd have to remove the IP cost in order to prevent the people that have five freaking million IP from getting every skin and making it that much harder for them to make money. And yes, those people do exist.

You can up to lvl 6 & 7 with those A skin have more value than 3x1700ip, we can have champion shard with the missions and the chests too.. Maybe a part of a skin or a chroma ! They were working on the "free content" part last update with the missions...

"Champion Shards" not "Champion Mastery" ... not the same thing

I understand that skins have more value. With this method alone it would actually take 9 champion shards to get a free random skin, which would be a large investment with little return. I suggested it that way for a reason.

Missions weren't even hinted at when I first posted this. This was posted 6 months ago.

Seriously, I wish riot would do this. It would be nice if more people saw this , because it's dumb how you cant get skins in any way with ip, and ip is useless if you own all the champions and runes...

if you reroll while you alreay have all champs, you get a random one again, but with the fact that it is for free to upgrade mastery to mastery 6/7 if you have the masteryshards
