The New LeaverBuster System

This is the first day of the new LB system. In my very first game, my client had an issue with the new Rift (an Issue that has been acknowledged by Riot) and my game crashed. I reloaded back into the game, and my team ultimately lost. I was DC for about 2-4 minutes.

Now, the loss was from the game not going our way to begin with, so it may have resulted in a loss regardless. However, upon returning to the end-game screen, I received the LB system warning.

Lyte and RiotTantram have BOTH stated in the Riot post regarding the new system, and I quote:

If you DC and relog into the game quickly, you'll be fine.

and:

The system is designed to punish leavers and AFKers. It is not designed to punish people who need to relog.

I was warned, and placed on the radar for being punished in the future, for something that I should not have been punished for, as stated by Riot employees. Could I please get a clarification from a Rioter as to what I, and the community, should expect from the new system?

I'm pretty sure you will get "warned" if you DCed at all, at least if it's your first time doing so since the "improvements" went live.

That doesn't mean you're going to get banned if it was a short DC.

If you're convinced that they're evil and don't care, feel free to take your business elsewhere...

No, they implemented this new leaverbuster. I'm convinced there are still people at Riot who care but whoever has championed this LeaverBuster system has too much say for their voice to be heard. I'm hoping that if players shout loud enough that they dislike this system, maybe whoever is championing it will be knocked down a notch and Riot can come to their senses.

Right now, it doesn't seem likely, but I have to try because I love the game and I love the community and I USED to think so highly of Riot themselves. I'd be doing myself and the community I think so highly of a disservice if I didn't at least try.
