Don't get me wrong, I'm probably gonna love the Mao'Kai skin
But he was like rarely played so I don't understand why he is getting the Victorious skin teaser looks amazing though and I think it will be an amazing skin

Maokai was really strong during the IBG/Sunfire meta in the spring.
Skins take time to make. Therefore, Riot selected the champion probably in April or May so they would have the skin done and tested on time.
