"This replay has expired"

Hey, I know the new replay system is still pretty new and all but I just have one complaint at the moment. There's been a couple of times now that I planned to go back and record some cool plays, but all replays expire whenever there is a patch. Since us players don't always know exactly when the patches are going to occur... I've lost some really cool gameplay. From now on I guess I should make sure to record right away instead of putting it off for later. Anyway, my point in bringing this up is that hopefully in the future riot will be able to back up replays prior to a patch, or at least give a little more forewarning. Yes I want to be spoiled.

Major patches are allways two weeks apart ( +/- a day or two ). It's quite easy to predict them.

I'm not just talking about major patches. This is ANY patch I'm referring to. For example, I didn't know I would log on to find a patch today or I would have recorded last night. This is a quality of life complaint for sure, but still.

They still support replays through minor patches inbetween major patches. Example:

7.3 - a major patch

2 weeks later

7.4 - a major patch

Everything inbetween is a minor patch for bugfixes that major patches potentionally brought.

So your replays are there for you to record and save in the space of two weeks. They will never bring a major patch out of nowhere unanounced. It's allways 2 weeks. If it needs to come earlier or later they let you know in the news section and/or boards.
