League of Legends is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena, real-time strategy video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows and OS X. Wikipedia Initial release date: October 27, 2009

My question is, what did they do in those 3 years? Did they have other games? I did some searching around but couldn't really find anything! This is definitely an interesting topic...

No, tell me more. :)

Quite clearly you don't, as you would be aware it takes several years. They announced the game in October of 2008, and the open beta didn't release until a year later.

You can not be this dumb. I refuse to believe it.

... what did i do to you????

Billy VoHagen1 votes

I mean, you can't just think they sat around for 3 years and did nothing.

They had to like, actually, you know....

make league of legends.

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Yeah but what did they do before making it... Like it couldnt of taken 3 years and had to of got money from somewhere in that time

Make League of Legends. It released in 2009, it didn't go into production in 2009

how did they pay for it then

Like all businesses it's an investment. They either had money to work with and/or they had loans and investors. Then, when League is released, they earn the money back when people buy RP.

Made league of legends.

but they must of been making money somehow

Billy VoHagen1 votes

I don't know the specifics, but they spent the time making league of legends. Maybe the had ideas for other games that didn't work.
