How much of a disadvantage does muting your game put you at? Do you listen to music while playing ranked? General thoughts?

I think it mostly depends on the person. I can't play any video game harder than Pokemon with music on. I think not being able to hear pings would be a problem though. Other than pings, it probably doesn't really matter for LoL.

I would keep the game sound effects and just lower the music volume to 0. You can play that way without any disadvantage, probably.

I would love it if Riot made some type of way to change/ overwrite all the music! I know there are some files in the Riot Games folder that can be changed:

D:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.249\deploy\assets\sounds\ambient

However, the in-game music cannot be changed.

But yeah, it would be nice to be able to customize all the music

If you are in normals anyway it wont mater. I listen to the "Persona 3" soundtrack all the time when i play.

I dont even like normals.

I however dont mute Melonie Mac....often. lol

...i mute her all the time. i actually watch her live streams and turn the volume aaaaaaaaaall the way down. Then i stare angrily at her face.
