DuoQ shouldn't exist in a ranked environment

While many people play duo q seriously with no intend to be carried, there are people who definitely use it to beat the rating system, per se, which is super easy to do with the current duoQ. People can duo with their friends' smurfs and get carried to diamond easy. Many games have these ways they can "trick the system" without really breaking the rules. For example, let's talk about turn-based strategy games. Many of those games allow players to choose how much time they are allowed to take in a turn. Some people who play these games online purposely pick opponents they know have lag from observing plenty of their games, and then pick an unreasonable amount of time (for example 3 seconds per card in a card game). And they would try to wait for their opponent to lag so they would win the game. So now, many of those games make a limit for 1 minute per card/move or whatever as the fastest time limit possible. Many of the people who play faster games do not try to do that to beat the system on purpose, but some of them do. I consider duoQ carrying to be similar to this- you're not explicitly breaking the rules but you're sorta cheating because you don't deserve the rating you get.

DuoQ shouldn't exist in a ranked game environment imo. Ranked should be about how good you are when the situation depends on you, not how good you are while playing with a friend.

by this logic ranked in itself is flawed. your whole rank depends on the teams you're placed with. duoq or solo, it's always going to depend on things and people other than yourself
