Reddit topic: Why do champions have a "Taunt" and a "Laugh" action, but not a "Praise"?

Riot should look into this one: http://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/2bs47i/why_do_champions_have_a_taunt_and_a_laugh_action/

Basically, if Riot's trying to eliminate toxicity, why do they allow players to do taunt/laugh emotes, but don't have any sort of "praise" emote?

Too expensive to hire back the voice actors? We don't always just want to type "GJ" when someone does well. A more personal touch is often called for.

As far as oirginal intent I'm guessing emotes were supposed to be non-type communication specifically towards the opposing team while type chat was primarily meant for more detailed team communication. Of course, nowadays with item interaction voice over lines and what not I could see this being an awesome thing to add, albeit very difficult to truly do, but awesome nonetheless.

Sarcastic "good job" taunts over a dead enemy. Disrespect streamers would have a field day with this.

You couldn't put a line like that on Draven

Pretty sure "Good job!" could also be a mocking phrase.

Miss a skillshot? "GOOD JOB! GOOD JOB! GOOD JOB!" spam. :(

I could see them not wanting to rehire voice actors to add these to existing champs, but I think they'd be a great addition to new champs :D

Errr it's kinda a mixed bag when it comes to that on the one side it can be used as a legit way to "Well played" or another way to taunt someone. Hearthstone has the "wel played" emote my experience with it is ya people are going to use it to taunt you when you make a shit move, or spam it buuuuuuut you can squelch the emotes so you don't have that option, in league you can't do that without muting voices(which I do I mute character voices to deal with emote spammers). If they add the emote mute(on a global, select player or both) like hearthstone then go for it so you don't have to hear the emote spammers.

I think this could be fun. It adds a little extra personality to the champions and, to be honest, someone spamming "praise" or "praising" my corpse if they killed me wouldn't be any more annoying than a taunt or laugh.

Well, there are currently 119 released champions that would need new voiceover and animations (possibly more than one for skins) and not all of the voice actors are available anymore (I believe some even died?) Also, as a great many have already said, there is a high chance that it would be used for insulting more than anything else.

That said, I would like a fast option to thank / praise people...
