A question to Riot about ping

This is not complaining or anything, just asking for clarification / making suggestions.

When we get into the loading screen, we see our current ping to the game server. In my case that's around 50. Sometimes though, i dont know when and why, it is substantially higher. Sometimes i am able to remedy that by releasing renewing ip, flushing dns, powercycling my modem, etc.

(just for infos sake, i have fiber internet, 1gig dl/ul even though its more like 950mbps...)

now my question: Why cant we see our current ping to the game server before we queue? That should not be so hard to build in, right? If i knew beforehand that for whatever reason my ping is 90 or (god forbid) 150 at the moment, i would not queue for ranked. So please riot, would you consider building this into the client?
