How does ranked work?

I just finished my placements and ended up in Silver 5. I'm happy with this as I thought for sure I would be Bronze. But how easy would it be to drop down to bronze? Is there a buffer, or if I lose a game now would I drop down?

EDIT: Moved to Miscellaneous

You have 3 games buffer at 0LP from tier to tier (for example for S4 to S5) You have 10 games buffer at 0lp from division to division (For example from S5 to B1)

Everytime you win you gain LP, everytime you lose you lose some, the amount varies depending on your hidden MMR, your team mates MMR and your opponents MMR. (normally you win around 20-25lp per game and lose around 15 -20). At 100LP you go into 3 special matches called series, win 2 out 3 and you go up a division.

dropping from silver to bronze is harder than a regular demotion. i was trying to demote intentionally and it was very difficult to do. i was at -70 LP at one point.

Ranked is essentially just a draft mode where you hope you don't get toxic players, feeders, trolls, or AFKs.
