I once thought attack speed was good on mages. Though I would love to see how much damage a fed Veigar can do with Nashor's tooth.

That is a scary thought actually... Especially with his Q passives. I would pay to see that. Figuratively speaking of course.
He'd do a lot of damage with it around 1,200 AP. The problem is actually getting into auto attack range to sit there whacking something with it. If you're going to weave occasional autos in, why not use Lich Bane when supremely fed? It actually turns him into a lategame tower-crushing machine.
I will buy Nashors as Veigar as a last item, usually just to finish off my cooldowns :P
Bursting tanks is fun, with lichbane and nashors, you land a stun, AA, W, Q, AA and you can 1/2 health a lot of tanks late game. The extra damage on autos is also nice for taking towers.
I rarely see full build games anymore, so when I do- if I am Veigar- this item is on the fun last item list. :)
No doubt is Lich Bane and Nashors Tooth fun on Veigar if you get the AP for it.
I just hate how risky it is though due to AA Range :\
