Yes its a direct reference to the main character "Sadaou Maou" or "Satan Jacob" He also goes by the name "Demon King Maou" but that name lasts a whole 00:50 secs and is never mentioned again ;P I picked the name due to the fact someone took "Sadaou Maou" and "Satan Jacob" and played a single game with said usernames afterwords these players never used the account again

I think there's a certain amount of time where, if an account hasn't been active, its username goes up for grabs. Eventually, they're gonna lose those names.
