When Riot teases a new featured game mode. . . .
And I REALLY want to know what it is. https://media.giphy.com/media/juKqIL24FbAvS/giphy.gif

I really liked ascension and would love to see that back.
But urf..
urf'll be back this april. coincidentally, cult classic webcomic Homestuck will end quite soon after that.

Good. No more home stuck fanboys
It will live on. In our fan fics <3
URF 2014 was a blast. In 2015 it was too tame for some reason. I just didn't have that whole "omg this is so Crazy"-feeling.
So if its going to be like 2014 again then sure. Otherwise I'm not interested.
But literally the only they did different between the two was remove the damage resistance against dinosaurs, and ramp up the health and damage numbers into the thousands.
I know and I don't really understand it myself. It was just my personal experience.
I have to admit that 2014 URF was far more fun than 2015 URF. What really ruined it for me though were the people whom were acting as if it were a ranked match and becoming toxic if they were losing.
The entire point to URF mode was for it to be a sh@ts and giggles mode to have fun in, kinda like memes&games.
MEMES AND GAMES IS A DEAD SERIOUS ENVIRONMENT NO JOKES ALLOWED.
2014 URF was completely unexpected. People knew what to expect for 2015. They knew (most) of who was good and who wasn't. And as is the case for almost every random game mode, people started taking it too seriously. IF you weren't picking one of the OP champs, then what was even then point?!
But it is the problem the mode runs into. Some champions are just so broken on it that you can't go against them unless you're also one of the broken champions. So the pool of "viable" champions shrinks really small really quickly. I'd have to imagine this was the biggest change between first and second years. The ability to try out new stuff died much faster.
Well thats certainly true. But the problem were also the truly broken champs, which were either urf-sized or disabled from the beginning. In 2014 you still had to face those champs, and even if you lost it was kinda funny to watch. Then they got disabled after a few days and that was good too, because we had to move on.
Perhaps that's the trick. They should just randomly disable a few champs everyday so people are forced to pick something else up.
Ascension is the most underrated gamemode along with Doom bots.
I always thought those two should stick around. Ascension to make use of a Map, that is otherwise not reallly played on. Doom-bots so we could actually have challenging practice opponents.
Same. I think it's time Riot added some of these game modes permanently as new queues or replacements.
DOOM BOTS PLEEEEEEEEASE
I remember a Rioter saying that while they would love to do this, so much has changed since then that it'd be a whole lot of work that had to be done for ti to work, and then a whole lot more work that they would want to do to make it better.
I like to think of it as Ziggs in his lab trying out crazy stuff (and having it blow up in his face half the time). o.O
EXPLOSIONS ARE GOOD
I would love URF 2016, loved it back in 2014 and the reappearance in 2015.
It comes back every April 1st.
Do you have a link? I didn't hear about a new featured mode.... is it doom bots 2.0?
I didn't say there was one. But I know they are working on either updating one or making a new one.
Might I ask what this is from?
Full Metal Alchemist. Although I can't identify which version of the anime it is from. However I think Brotherhood gets more attention around here.
