Lol I had a Tristana tell me one game that Yasuo takes no skill. She was salty because she tower-dived Shen and Zed, then expected me to save her. She called me trash, and then said Yasuo was a 'noob champ' and how easy it was. It was pretty funny.

that's why you play bard all the way ppl. I literally have done more dmg and carried harder with bard than most adcs in my low elo. Playing ignite/thunderlords means anytime adc and supp aren't stuck together i just go in for a 'q' and auto and the next time unless they have soraka support i can basically solo kill unless i give kill to adc.

Idk if it's the correct counterplay but I deal with Zyra "support" the same way I deal with Sona Lux I focus her instead of the ADC early game since they have lower base HP so are usually easier to kill

sometimes the easiest way to deal with those aggressive high dmg low health supports is to just not be afraid of them. Too often i play as lucian with a braum support against an ez or cait/sona lane with their bot splitting up hard with cait/ez farming and sona pushing forward on the other side of minions to poke and my braum (or any other tank support) runs and lets sona do her thing when we could just punish hard.

to be fair, zyra's damage output actually IS pretty dumb :P the only way a zyra doesn't have highest damage dealt in a game is if there's a brand in the same game :P

Okay to be fair you can understand the confusion from Amumu . He keeps getting invaded and killed by a good Elise and thinks there's no way to stop her bc she is one of the reasons why he's super strong at low elo but weaker as you go up (bc higher elo players have the mechanics to use early pressure dueling/invading champions and get their full strength from the kit).

Roll past 20 minutes and the 3 kills elise got on amumu in the first 7 minutes in the game become irrelavent and there's nothing she can really do to him.

I mean in low elo it really isn't an issue bc people don't invade well anyway, and in high elo if she gets 3 kills on amumu she probably snowballed her lanes ahead far enough they win regardless of amumu becoming useful or Amumu's team was so much better that Elise vs Amumu doesn't matter that much.

But that's general knowledge, not specific to Garen. Which actually makes him a good beginner champion. You don't have to focus on using abilities properly, you can instead focus more of your time on learning when to roam, when should I take objectives, countering certain champions, etc.

What I like about this story is it's delectable Irony since most of the champions who are complaining are actually more OP and easy than Yorick (Annie, Zed, Quinn, and Xin-Zhou) I think Caitlyn is the only exeption

Back in season 3 (?) when Caitlyn had close to a 40%+ pick rate all season she was really a no fun champion to play against which is mainly the origin of the joke here probably. This is before Jinx came out and when Lucian was pretty garbage (if he was already out I don't know) so she was the best at just shutting down every other ADC (Ez, Graves, Vayne, etc.) while taking little to no skill to do so since she won by sheer base stats (range).

This was AFTER the rejuvenation update. My first game in patch 6.5. I just used Q slow for kiting and outsustained her, then used autos whenever she missed her dashes or went for CS. Eventually I close in with Q E ignite and get a kill, or sometimes I get low due to failing to dodge her dashes under tower, and land a double proc E.

Always found it funny in aram when I get Ahri Lux or Sona and when I get fed the enemy team gets super salty. 9/10 times it was in fact their fault, and I just seized upon it.... not saying they take skill or not (all champions take some skill to master properly), but sometimes the issue is caused by the person on the other side of the mirror.

Yorick isn't fun to lane against, and I always feel like I can't do anything with his poke on him me while he's farming, but outside the ult, when's the last time you heard about Yorick being useful to his team? Besides, every champion takes skill to use their strengths most efficiently, no matter who it is, yes the kit may be simple but it takes knowledge of the situation and knowledge of your champion to know if you can actually win in the situation. You have to know your champ, how others affect your champ, what situations your champ can survive, how best to use your abilities in certain situations as well as the most effective rotation of said abilities. So yes, even Garen and Annie take skill, and as much as I hate to admit it, so does Lux...

Let's be honest, people just don't enjoy doing badly during laning or losing games no matter what champion they are playing against. With Yorick, most people just don't see him often enough to learn how to deal with him. When people see a Yorick for the first time in 300+ games, chances are that they don't know what do with the matchup. When people don't understand a matchup, they will be disadvantaged and will often become frustrated. But, since they probably won't see another Yorick for 300+ more games, they aren't likely to remember any of the lessons they learned next time around.

Outside of his ultimate, his kit is extremely similar to Darius, except Yorick has worse all-ins, slightly better ability ranges, is more mana hungry, and you can remove his DOT (ghoul aggro) unlike Darius's Hemorrhage bleed. He is actually a far more forgiving lane opponent than Darius is, since he doesn't snowball nearly as hard and he can be counterbuilt with some sustain. Nine times out of ten when people do badly against a top lane Yorick, it's because they expect Yorick to be a trash pick so they don't respect his space like they would laning against Darius.

The idea that Yorick is worthless after laning is another Yorick myth. His Q + W + E is as powerful as Darius's after laning and his finished item 3042 is a nice lategame powerspike. Yorick doesn't snowball like Darius at the end of laning because he doesn't have Darius's midgame kill potential, but Yorick's ultimate lets him fill his niche as the utility/teamplay juggernaut perfectly after laning. I can guarantee you that most people who actually play Yorick feel that he is plenty rewarding and useful after laning. His ultimate definitely has a lot of flexibility and non-selfish power after laning, but the rest of his kit still packs a punch all game long. I personally love how he transitions into a supportive carry lategame, rather than greedily hogging all of the team's kills like some Darius players will do with their ultimate, because I enjoy helping my teammates succeed.

I realize that statement about Yorick was a lot more negative than I had intended, so I apologize, what I had meant was Yorick at least won't be bullying you outside of the lane as much. And it is true that losing lane is always unfun, but Yorick doesn't leave himself open to much counterplay outside his mana crisis in laning. I apologize again for essentially calling Yorick useless in my previous statement. I can also agree that Darius has much better all-ins, and they hurt, a lot.

I want to copy paste this into every game where Yorick gets called uselsss (extremely often by teammates at nearly every ELO).

I don't mind losing my lane if the rest of my team is winning, I like forcing my lane opponents so hard that I have their jungler and mid up top as much as their top laner.

When they get to the Yorick rework it is my hope that they give him some kind of Anti CC on his Ult, maybe not the full duration of his Ult but enough to let him or his target just run straight into the enemy team as an initiate. Seems like a juggernaut thing to do, walk straight into the enemy team and /dance!

I remember the time when yorick had almost nasus status. Lock him down early or mid or suffer his wrath late. The guy used to practically steamroll all manner of champions going into late game while having enough sustain to fight at least 3-4 of the enemy team.

Playing Yorick is always a charm when nobody knows how he works, even teammates. I ulted a Nid once who didn't understand why she died at the end of the ult duration and just goes "Wtf why did I die?"

And the enemy team claimed the ult was OP, which was also kind of entertaining.
