HUD Complaint Summary

I'm not urguing with you here, but a customizable HUD means you can set it up to your liking, in the way that it would give you the information you want the quickest way possible. This is different for everyone, which is why customizable HUDS are liked. Everyone has different needs and tastes when it comes to battle information, and custom HUDS allows them to tailor it to what they want/need.

Well of course all cars are going to be black one day. We need ninja cars, which is why hybrids have been pushed so much and are so popular.

Please list the customization options that were removed from the old HUD.

Basically I believe if the higher ups make a decision so arbitrary and hated, than it is the duty of the common man to consistently make his point known. Although this is just a game this is how tyranny starts, with a "Deal With It" Attitude. After Riot loses many long time players they will fix their mistakes because they have no choice, if they want to make money.

I feel like this is a racial comment. Because "Black" is capitalized.

The decision isn't arbitrary, their goal was to improve the hud by making it have more information on it. Is it perfect? No. Is it so bad it's hotfix worthy? Of course not. Are they going to continue to tweak it to make it a more positive experience that alleviates the issues people have with it that extend beyond "I hate change"? Probably.

Hate to break it to you, but about 90% of what Riot does is done regardless of how the community feels, which is a lot less than what most companies out there consider from the community, which is to say nothing. If you left it up to the community, all the champions would be deleted except Yasuo (he'll stick around for a week longer), surrenders can be decided by one person alone (self-elected, of course) before minions even spawn, and everyone who gave First Blood, botched a smite on Dragon/baron, didn't give blue to mid, didn't build as "the Meta" says to build, or messed up someone's promotional game would be permabanned. On the spot. Irrevocable.

What Riot TRIES to do is implement changes that they believe is fair based on critical analysis of feedback, both statistical and word of mouth. There was already murmurs about this months ago because of the various bits of information that we call the HUD was scattered to opposite ends of the screen. The base philosophy behind the HUD change was, aside from conforming it aesthetically to the theme of League as it is now, was to compress all this information in a comprehensible manner. The problem with changing the HUD, however, is related to a learning issue called negative transfer. Basically your mind has trained itself to work in one specific manner, in this case, looking at various parts of the screen for information. Changing the HUD causes confusion in your brain because the information has been shifted around, so you have to untrain your brain, and that transition is one most aren't willing to undertake.
