I wish I could play in very early season 1, it must have been interesting when meta wasn't formed and everybody played everything everywhere.

I played early season 2 and by then the meta although formed wasn't really enforced. It was not weird to see 2 mages in bot lane for game to game. Also a lot more variety of champions were played because there was no really weak to the meta champions since the meta wasn't alwasy played. Oh the old times
no really weak to the meta champions
. Good old 30% winrate Eve
Good old broken champion release
Good old 1v5 Morde :p
You mean a few months ago?
That's why I think Rito should add a new queue that's basically the game from S1 or S2, that has the same graphics, you don't follow the current meta, champion reworks reverted, and you can only play the champs that were out then in it
I know Riot would probably never do that, because that'd be a LOT of work, but I think that'd be really sweet. I started playing early S5 I believe, and I'd love to have felt what League was like back then. I can watch gameplay of it all I want, but it's just not the same if you aren't the one playing it
sometimes its run to make a new account and play with new people, they're usually nicer, and its all good fun. I can play anything anywhere and noone flames at you

Out of context, this would be especially hilarious.
Gets out cane Well whippersnapper, lemme tell you all about the good ol' days of late season 1 and season 2. Ya see, back then, you might have been in a group with five people but it was every man for himself. Back in this time, dodge chance was still a thing. Ninja Tabi you see, would give dodge chance during this time. I remember the good old times of Jax being able to dodge the fountain lazer with his E, getting a penta on the spawning platform and walking away. Good times.
good ol balanced LoL. I remember back in the beta days when TF teleport was on his E. E to top/bot bush between turrets, place a ward and have your team TP onto it and get free firstblood
A magical time when Wukong mid was more likely than you'd think and "support" was just a fancy way of saying "I was the last to leave base and this was the only spot left".
Good old.

Wasn't
better (at least from what I've heard)?
this was evil on 50 sec stealth
people didnt even understand what was happening.
Does anyone have a vid where I can see his 50 sec stealth? I wasn't from that era.
Quick Story:
Eve and Twitch were running through the game without anyone knowing where the other was. We all bought oracles and used them like Life Alert pendants
About half way through the mid part of the game (I remember thinking team fights would happen soon) I see twitch run through my lane (towards the first enemy top turret). I then see this very thin outline appear behind me (towards where top middle bush is today).
I proceeded to "nope out" of my top lane. Worst mistake I made. That thin outline was a particle glitch, Eve came around through baron (where I was running to to escape (?) LCS material, I know) Proceeded to run around me like a slutty ballerina until I was dead.
Twitch then popped up like some type of cheap outsourced clone of Master Splinter and unleashed a volley of little bronze pixels at her, which then killed her.
You had me at "Life alert pendants"
......I think I soiled myself

It was monstrous, as back then she had a long duration (45 second Duration at level 5, with like a 30 second CD) stealth on her W. She could stack 6 sunfires (which stacked, btw) and just permastealth and walk up to people and they'd suddenly start taking damage. The only counter was wildly flinging spells and hoping to god you hit her, or just place a pink ward. But that was an expensive way to counter a single champion. And if it was the middle of a teamfight, good luck.
I kinda wish I did, but I do enjoy a certain degree of uniformity. I like creativity, but I also love consistency, such as the knowledge that I'll be a solo top or mid against a solo top or mid. Or that I won't be against a Vayne top (seriously if people do this, you're basically an absolutely terrible human being).
Off meta picks are fun, but being against like a duo top is a HUGE pain in the ass.

I remember the good ol days of rocking Caitlyn mid... BLOCK MY ULT NOW ASSHOLE
bby plz
bby plz
Except Fizz wasn't even a thought way back when lol.
My friend played during the very early stages of the game (he said there were only like, 14 champions or so) and everyone would fight over who got Cho'gath.
I clearly remember everyone fighting over who got to play Warwick.
I remember it being Fiddle.
Wow that would've been damn early. Something like summer 2009. I started playing in November 2009 and we had something around 40 champions back then.

He may or may not be telling the truth, his memory tends to be pretty awful.
14 champions might be 40, lol.
Back in MY day we had to WALK to base, we didn't have none of this free recall shit you kids have!

Blue Pill OP
I f*cking hated that item so badly just like the golden heart like ..... wtf who buys that stuff we are real man. The man with 6 Dorian rings mid.
Alpha player here. Can confirm. Ashe (or any ADC) mid. Jungle was practically unheard of. I miss the pre-meta days.
Alpha player here.
Weird your name isn't blue. :)
I was going to mention that. I haven't seen an Alpha marked or Beta player in long time. Not a whole lot of them even stayed, some of them moved on after Beta, seeing an Alpha or Beta player (Or ones that claimed to be) by the end of Season 1 and Season 2 was grounds to call bullshit.
Sadly I was an Open Beta player only, I still crave for that King Rammus skin :(
I remember reading the description of
way back in the day and was like, wtf why use
this silly dot, when I can use
and kill most of these guys early. Took me a couple of games to figure out that it didn't work on champs lol.
I also remember
as the ONLY way to build him.
Ah man, those were the good ol' days lol.
I did the same thing with Flash and Teleport, Flash just said you instantly moved to the target, so I tried to flash from top lane to bottom lane. I sure learned that in a hurry.
I STILL try and flash to break projectiles sometimes though
Well, there was no Zed or Yasuo. SO Ashe mid sounds good
Yeah, no meta, point-n-click Blitz hooks, release XinZhao, Jax with max dodge, Gankplank, Katarina, fun fun times.
I know them feels.
Double tops.
Being unsure if you should actually take Smite because Junglers had to work for their gold.
Mid lane actually having a decent rock-paper-scissors interactions between rADCs, Mages, and tanks/offtanks.
Playing Morde 1v2 top lane when you took the risk of a jungler, and then turning it into a 2v1 when you hit 6.
Stacking passives.
#BetaLife
Season 1 Player here, i remember there was NO META it was you play who you want where you want. there was no jungle. the only uniformity in the game was 2 people top 1 mid and 2 bot lane. i do remember playing mid Ashe and getting thorn mail because that's what rito wanted me to do. there was so much cc and burst lol. and you can never forgot how eve and twitch could stealth for around a minute straight, not op at all.
I am there with you, although I do remember there was people who liked to try jungling but it pretty much began and ended with ww being the only one who could and even then he had to take rally.
these were the good days
Morganna + Singed bot lane. Ashe Mid. Nunu jungle. Tryndamere top yelling at Nunu because the enemy team didn't have a jungler and the Garen + Annie lane was raping his soul.
Good times.
Jungle was a scary place with pesky walls and cool scenery. Why would you take the long way around? Everything revolved around mid and mid jungle area. Dragon was taken like a trophy if you aced the team, not as a crucial objective. Baron was this ungodly force that you just didn't fuck with. This is all coming from a casual gamer back in Season 1. I didn't really get too into League's competitive side, or even it's try-hard side until late season 3 early 4.
Also...Jax....Jax going 20/2 , Katarina acing your team like it's nothing...sort of like today...yeah. (Yeah, I know, hard CC) Talon was pretty crazy too, I remember him 1v2 ing my team, then picking up another 2 kills right after in another 1v2 and then I just sorta sat behind the inhibitor like "fook dat shiznit".
And good ol'Galio...nice times. AH! Also took be about 3 weeks to realize Kayle was a woman.
Vlad was pretty insane in some games. A mage who was tanky and got more powerful and could literally melt at your feet, cut off your escape and do his entire rotation to nuke your team? Good times.
#IreliaTryHards #NeverForget
Brand was also not even relevant if I remember correctly. Too much mana cost for something so ... meh. Just pick up Leblanc and have at it.
