But crit in LoL doesn't work based on "luck".

*I didn't miss the joke

It... kinda does

Transgressor1 votes

It's not RNG, it's Pseudo RNG.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudorandom_number_generator

There you go snowflake, educate yourself. I don't even have to bother explaining.

And here is your "actual" luck(RNG).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random_number_generation

It's basically code carefully written to simulate randomness. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Kitty Darkstar1 votes

....nobody cares

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

It was Riot's defense for keeping RNG in the game for a long time.

Transgressor1 votes

Who the fuck appointed you to express the people's opinion? Facts are facts, kid.

Take a hike, you don't speak for anyone.

Kitty Darkstar1 votes

Nobody really cares whether it's real RNG or pseudo.

As far as I can tell, pseudo RNG is still luck-based.

Transgressor1 votes

Once again, don't fucking generalize because it suits you.

As far as I can tell, comparing apples to oranges(eg. 2 completely different things)despite being presented with solid proof they are 100% different, is damn ignorant, and speaks tons about you.

And even if your simple mind can't comprehend that, let me put it in simple terms for you: There is NOTHING random when it comes to code. Data's comprised by combinations of 0 and 1, absolutes. Electrons don't travel in volumes of 0.9, 1.4, 2.8, 1,229. Luck, does not apply to computing. Even quantum computing does not involve luck in any way, where data's comprised not by combinations of 0 and 1, but 0 and 1 at the same time.

Kitty Darkstar1 votes

You have a massive superiority complex. Read your posts, and count the insults.

This isn't like comparing apples to oranges. This is more like me mentioning how I like fruit, then you come in and talk about how apples are much better than oranges or vice versa.

Transgressor1 votes

I didn't even make a damn comparison, stop embarrassing yourself, you're making it too easy for me. It's not superiority complex, it's me simply acknowledging I'm better than you. And insults are for those who can't fathom simplicity.

Kitty Darkstar1 votes

You know, people like you are the reason I hate playing on EUNE. Nothing but trolls. And I'm generally a positive person.

"Acknowledging I'm better than you" If your ego was any bigger you wouldn't be able to fit it through the door

Transgressor1 votes

I don't have to be a troll to be better than you, my ego doesn't have to have issues going through the door. My ego is big enough to be superior to yours, and small enough to be functional. That's called being an educated, emotionally competent, compassionate human being.

But what would you know about it, you're too busy contradicting yourself and avoiding direct responses over the internet. I'm abandoning thread, self-declaring victory. Deal with it.

Aheadatime6 votes

Your attitude is so annoying lol. I can guarantee you don't talk to strangers that way in real life. Even if you talk to your 'friends' that way, they're either just people who have nobody else to be around temporarily or don't yet have the social strength and awareness to let you know how annoying you are.

You should pay attention to how the things you say/do spark reactions in others. Go out and talk to people irl and notice their facial expressions when you say annoying, condescending, or hurtful things, and conversely, when you say friendly, helpful, or non-annoying things. Try to absorb that empathetic response and then apply it to your 'internet persona'. It's the honest thing to do (as it would be dishonest to behave online differently than you do in person), and it doesn't give other people negative impressions while ruining their mood simultaneously.

Transgressor1 votes

Why the fuck would you assume I give a damn what a bunch of strangers THAT LIVE ACROSS THE PLANET- who I can guarantee you I will freaking die without ever even knowing their names- think about me?

I treat the people around me with respect, I treat those who I care about with respect. A fat american individual who preaches me about behaviour over the internet, is not among them. My "internet persona" is one that doesn't hide oneself behind a computer screen telling others how to behave.

Those who matter to me, respect me and acknowledge me for who I am. Thus, I can gladly say I've solved all my issues. And one of them is not giving a damn about what a person who lives in NA, across millions of kilometers, on a different timezone, who at this moment has daytime, who I've never seen, spoken to, greeted, communicated with in any way, on a different god damn continent, thinks about me.

Lastly, may I suggest you do the same: stop giving a damn about what everyone is going to think at all times, or else you're going to get overwhelmed by anxiety. In addition, educate yourself about proper etiquette that corresponds to the place you are, and the people you're conversing with. The LoL Boards are not the place which require what you ask.

PS. I behave online exactly the way I behave in person, I'm honest and tell things as they are. That way, I push hypocrites and morons away from my life, which allows me to be circled by quality individuals that fulfill me as a person. A hypocritical preaching keyboard warrior, is not one of them.

Aheadatime2 votes

I never said anything about giving a damn what people on the internet think about you. The internet is an anomaly that let's people like you say whatever they want without any real-time feedback and consequences. Thus, it's moot to take to heart what another person online "thinks of you". It's wrong to even put it that way, because they think nothing of "you" since they do not know you, only what you've typed.

In the same way, I _know _nothing of you. The way you type reminds me of dozens of people I've known throughout my life who all share a very similar trail of disconnected thought patterns and socioemotional lackings. I presumed you to be the same way, just as you presumed I was fat. I can almost guarantee though that what I said struck a chord with you. You're suddenly extremely defensive, took the time out of your day to post such a long-winded response, and judging by the language used, seem to be flustered while doing so. If I had to guess, I would still strongly believe that you're an asshole.

Whether people around you are submissive beta-type individuals or you just have an internet persona that deceptively percolates false dominance in an attempt to right the perceived weakness you carry around in life makes no difference. Approaching somebody in the work place or at a corner store who seems to be saying something in contrast to your own beliefs and calling them "snowflake" while treating them like dirt is something I'm willing to bet you've never done in your life. Hence, the internet persona remark.

And I feel obliged to point out; just because you shouldn't care what people think about you on the internet doesn't mean you shouldn't care about the individual as an individual. Never meeting somebody irl =/= being able to treat them like shit justifiably. That's incredibly detrimental logic. Having care and respect for people in general would manifest itself through your communications, regardless of format, if you were indeed a respectable human being. You've proved otherwise, and my post was an attempt to help you out. People like you need to be called out and told what a piece of shit they're being in hopes of them being strong enough to admit such a painful truth. Don't be a piece of shit to people, even if it's somebody you're never going to meet who you're communicating with via the internet.

I did some theorycrafting with a guy on Reddit who suggested item 3748 and item 3071 first 2 items on Leona top. He postulated that it gave you a ton of health to go along with your W resistences, 20% CDR for your CC, very strong AOE armor shred with the combination of the 2 items, and extra sticking power from the Rage passive on Cleaver. I have yet to try it myself but it's definitely a very interesting idea.

Now for the next trick: Playing Leona top and not getting reported.

IcyPepper3 votes

I personally find Leona jungle better.

And god forbid a primary tank doesn't got bot lane like the meta says so D:

Sion Galio JarvanIV Lissandra Shen Zac Taric Only go bot on their off days. . . . At least one normally doesn't go anywhere. (>_>)

Liss is a primary tank? O.o She packs heavy CC, but I don't think I'd play her as a primary tank, at the very least.

Sej Too.

but I don't think I'd play her as a primary tank, at the very least.

I DO! It really depends on the team comp. But if I'm mid and we need a tank (happens more than you might think), I run Liss.

But if you're going by Riot's classification: She's a poke mage. . . . Because that makes sense.

Anidan1 votes

You know what? That actually sounds fair enough. Maybe I could try that out sometime. Her consistent CC would make her a viable threat and give her plenty of peel potential for allies. I don't see why it couldn't work, actually. My only starting problem is her baseline durability, but with that heal on self ult now she should be fine - though that would sacrifice a stun on an enemy.

I love picking Liss against slippery bastards like Fizz, Riven and Zed as is, so it'd work for me. Love playing me some Lissandra.

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

I've been running her tank since release. The hardest part is the mid game transition since you'll lack the damage of an APC and the innate tankiness of a... well... Tank. Once you get items rolling though, she functions like any other.

50000000000000001 votes

She's primary mage and secondary nothing, according to Riot.

Kitty Darkstar1 votes

I kind of enjoy playing Leona jungle, but I'd never do it in a PVP game.

IcyPepper2 votes

Why not? Get some practice in first, and then take her to PvP.

She's got a great kit for jungling, there's several items you can build on her for a variety of situations, and taking her to the jungle would be like taking Nautilus as a support.

If your only fear that it isn't meta, just get some friends, make a premade, try it out! :D

Kitty Darkstar1 votes

My fear is the lag. My computer overheats before I can get practice in, and usually before PVP games finish, too.

I run them as core in my top Leona, and it is spooky great.

last time i was against a Fiora and she would have kicked my ass but hopefully my jungler was a yi a,d took advantage of my cc to feed himself on him :p Leona top is not good really i just do it cause i think it's fun to have a "farmed" leona. At least i can farm in a majority of match up against melees.

Decrit1 votes

I pick it on her if support, fed and after having compleated my core support items and some tankyness.

A bit of a luxury, but is helpful because i can pick and peel squishes and eventually counterengage some assassins.

Kitty Darkstar4 votes

I don't think it's strip poker, I think TF just won so much money off her that she had to sell her clothes.

That's how I interpret this sort of situation, anyways.
