I always thought that would be an interesting concept for a champion. One that by default is flying and can fly over any wall. The champion would absolutely have to be very slow moving, maybe cap the total movement speed? The ultimate could be interesting as a "dive bomb" that does some damage but the beak sticks into the ground creating impassable terrain for a short while. The champion would have to get a running start in order to fly again and would be incredibly weak during that period.

Well, you got that one right.

For consistency matters I must tell you that this: http://img01.deviantart.net/dd2b/i/2011/079/e/9/glaurung_the_dragon_by_sboterod-d3c3tre.jpg

classifies as a dragon too.

As long as it's a large reptile that breathes fire, than yes, yes it does!

doesn't even need the fire to be called dragon.

I no it's late but, did you know that dinosaurs were originally called dragons before a scientist gave gave them the name dinosaur?

People who whine about what is and isn't a dragon (e.g. Shyvana would be considered by many to be a wyvern rather than a dragon, likely by D&D standards) are the worst.

That said, winged dragon are obviously cooler than non-winged dragons.

Not true, check out Chinese dragons xP

Eh, never really was a fan of their serpentine shape. Still pretty cool though, more so when they're especially long like Dragon Ball's Shenron.

Lets not forget that we got also the Quetzalcoatl-like dragons:

I tend to classify all kinds of Dragons as Dragonkins not being to strict on the use of the 2 terms. It is true that Dragons and Wyverns difference is that the former don't have winged arms and are usually bigger but then we call Dragons also the unwinged ones (as Glaurung in The Silmarillion). The term is commonly used to depict a large size Dragonkin rather than an anatomically specific being.
