Oh. It's a good item on her. But it's a terrible first item, if you're planning to win lane. Take a second item 1056 , rush into item 1058 , build that into item 3285 , and bring mana regen quints. Ez lane, ez lyfe.

Like... yeah that is one way to do it... but you waste runes on mana regen, (waste lul I use them too sometimes, but only in hard matchups) you also waste gold on another item 1056 when you can just get lost chapter, you also have no guarantee to back with enough gold for item 1058 , and if you back and have just enough for the you don't get more then one health potion, or your needed dorans, so then you could get dorans ring, and (maybe) item 3113 It would be best to get item 3802 and maybe item 1001 and item 2003 s, so then you can push, and roam. If you are snowballing, (get fb or something) I can see your way working, and I might try that sometime, but I feel like if you don't get that lead you won't be able to transfer your power, (you will go oom, or you won't have Armor or Magic Resist for your matchup because you ran mana regen runes

Ah. I typically bring both scaling armor and MR runes (not enough IP to blow on 50 slightly different pages), and flat AP, along with the mana regen. I typically grab the second ring, a ward, and top off my potions on my first back, and just hold out for item 1058 (Unless, of course, I have the 1250 already). Got me to mastery 7 easily. Then again, I am only in Bronze, so I can get away with it. I don't end up roaming much (I don't like to roam at all until a turret's down in my lane), true (unless against someone stupid enough to let me take an easy turret), but I typically end up winning game, since I'm able to poke anyone like I'm Yasuo. Except with less damage.

It makes games a bit less defined by early game (unless someone feeds out of their ass), so games end up more…reliable, I guess. Less backing, more pushing.

So you don't take ANY magic pen? That... is like... EXTREMELY dependent on your laner NOT taking any MR whatsoever. (And with potential items coming up and scaling MR being a thing naturally) (assuming it goes through) You NEED magic pen in your runes, else your assassin potential is Really low.

Since I am in Bronze, I'm able to get away with that, since nobody is smart enough to just buy item 3156 . And I'm forced to share Ahri's runes with everybody that's AP. Everyone from Diana and Lux , to Leona and Soraka . It really sucks.

But, hey. It works pretty well. Mpen isn't quite as necessary on Ahri as it is on other assassins, because of her Q's true damage (which isn't hard in late-game, when everyone forgets to dodge).

I guess I've probably just made the best of a bad situation. :\
