But I actually like the idea of in-client voice chat for premades.

The whole idea of having it is that it includes people that aren't in a premade. Right now unless we follow a random discord link we don't have comms, while if we get matched vs a premade there's a super high chance they're on comms and can therefore transmit precise info 10x faster than the typing team while not releasing control of their champ for that time.

From my experience, the people pushing for voice chat are usually the people you don't want to talk to and are going to mute anyway. However, voice chat itself isn't really that bad. I play a lot of Rainbow Six Siege and while I usually don't speak myself (I have 2 lovebirds and well, they make a ton of noise), I like the benefit of recieving quick callouts. Someone saying "mid miss" is a lot easier to notice than reading it.

At the end of the day, you can always mute certain players or just disable it completely, so I'm all for it.

just use mumble or discord if you're premade. otherwise i would bet most people would be exactly like in this video lol
