most mages get zyhonas anyways and quicksilver builds into 
that gives 80 ad and pretty much negates not only zed's ult but any other cc from other enemies, neither of the item wasted space in my opinion when zed can 100-0 you just by popping his ult combo

Kat can just shunpo in and boom easy triple.
