Yasuo scales incredibly well with attack speed because of his unique cooldown mechanics, he can apply the passive with his Q, and the active aids his assassinations enormously. There's also the obvious utility of the lifesteal and the movespeed you get from the active.
No wonder he didn't do poorly. It's an excellent build.
Statikk, IE, and BotRK are core items for Yasuo. You have to get all 3 no matter what.
Last Whisper is somewhat-core because it stacks well with his ult armor pen.
He's kinda dumb for getting a GA/LW before IE but oh well.
