Edit: Thought I might wanna actually include an argument here. They just took the name override from the devil teemo event, stopped all chat, and created a short, possible paragraph long list of strings that the "bots" say.

While sure, it's kinda funny? I guess? this kinda breaks what riot has usually done with URF and NURF and Draven game mode. All those events were fun; this changes nothing excepts reduces the interactivity between teams.

Honestly, it's some of the most fun I've had. Here's why:

On your first game, it's believable that this is legit. My first go-around I ended up getting trolled because it wasn't even April 1st where I was yet. We all thought the other team were bots and we were playing like maniacs because we truly believed we were against bots.

Yeah, once everyone caught on, it's less fun, but it's not meant to continue to surprise you like the first time. Heck, it tricked everyone watching on my stream as well. Plus, it has extremely reduced toxicity because your team mates think they're playing against bots and your enemies aren't being asses toward you. People are doing crazy things because they don't know. I had our Lee SIn deep invade the enemy Jungle simply because he thought the bots would have poor Jungle coding.

It was a blast, man. I got a Quad (almost a Penta) in that game because I did something I would have never otherwise done and jumped into 4 people around half health trying to take my turret because I figured bots wouldn't know what to do about it.

I, for one, thought it was an amazing trick. Urf doesn't need to come back as a game mode because it's constantly brought back over time anyway. Draven Draven was just silly little hats. This was an entire forced gameplay change that you and your team mates were tricked into making, which led both teams into thinking certain players were actually bots just because of all the ridiculous things that happened.

Lack of team chat? You just were not able to communicate with the enemy, the chat with your own team worked normally. And as long as bming in chat to tilt your enemy isn't one of your standard strategies, it didn't affect your team play at all.

The best part is that if you expect they're bots- you rationalize their behavior as bots. The Nautilus support I was facing for example threw his hook out whenever he had the most remote chance of landing it. I figured it was just aggressive bot coding like what Riot promised.

It wasn't until wards started showing up and being swept that I fully decided they definitely weren't bots.

The Xerath I was against landed almost all of his skillshots on me and hardly missed a single one. I figured it was because bots miss things like that almost never. I had a Blitz ward between two turrets when they were both up and I assumed the coding was slightly off.

Lol yeah me and my friend were chatting and playing a game together and I decided to get off and he continued to play but me and him still talked, it was like 1 am and him and his team was just so confused, all saying how they queued for normals, and I told him he was in normals. So I go to spectate the game and then see the enemy team's real names, and he was lost, thought the enemy team was like a group of hackers. xD Wasn't till after game he realized it was April's Fool, found it very entertaining.

First time I played it, I recently read the post about "hyper realistic bots being tested" and explained what was happening to my friends in my discord server. So when I got in to a game I was like "Oh, are these guys premade?" When I got into the game, those lines of text in chat popped up and I was like "omg, guys, I was just talking about this."

The first 5 minutes of my reactions included: "Omg, these bots can counterjungle" , "Holy crap, our jungle almost got killed by invading bots" and pretty excessive laughter tbh. Seriously had me freaked out and excited for the whole game. I loved it.

It was stupidest crap ever, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many ppl afk thinking it was bots and they picked wrong mode so they just left....

I started late on my 1st game because i left game and rejoined thinking id picked wrong mode on accident.

Litterally the worst games I have ever had an afk almost every freaking game or people that feed purposely then realize its not bot and then its too late. Wish i could punch whoever thought this up in the face....
