But they aren't... They are a type of Fighter.

Tanks are split between Vanguard & Warden. Fighters are split between Diver and Juggernauts.

translation: Tanks: initiators, peelers Fighter: diving assassin-fighters like irelia, riven, juggernauts like darius assassins: all-in assassins (talon), hit-and-run assassins (i think this was supposed to be ekko/fizz) mages: burst (Veigar), bulky dps mages (swain, karthus), seige/poke mages (xerath, ziggs) adcs: adcs but really there are attack speed adcs (vayne, teemo), ability AD adcs (varus, jhin), complete bullshit (graves)

No, if you notice, assassin is a sub-class, with the other one being skirmishers. Skirmishers are Yasuo/Master Yi/Tryndamere/Fiora. They're supposed to have less burst than an assassin, but more sustained damage. Like assassins, they're supposed to be squishy but with a fuckton of mobility to keep them alive by dancing around fights.

Then what is he? He's too tanky and not assasinish enough to be a fighter while having the damage tanks usually don't. Plus he has very juggernaut like mobility except for his ult. I never checked to see what his category is actually considered this is just where he logically fits. Plus a strong Galio isn't really ever going to be a juggernaut but they say he is.

hecarim is considered a dive fighter, along the likes of olaf, shyvana ect.. as far as I can remember

I think the reason he's considered a diver is because of his ult making him unkitable for a bit, something a juggernaut isn't allowed to have

hecarim is a special spin on a dive fighter because instead of simply farming up for big bulk mid-late, he needs to get ROLLING. hecarim is possibly THE snowballiest fighter because a fed damage hecarim is a terror in the midgame

Well if he is able to keep up with you after a net+W, then he is running a build that shouldn't let him survive you just gunning him down before or shortly after reaching you. In which case take the Olaf approach and just kill him. If he really is giving you that much trouble get a Frozen Mallet.
