War, huh? What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing!

Many of you may have seen the current wave of drama going on around these parts. What was once the place of friendly memeing and bad puns has become a battleground where tension is rising and people are starting to get rather defensive about their "King/Queen of M&G".

While it may have been funny at first it's starting to alienate a lot of people due to how hostile this entire place seems to be. Hell, this is really ironic, coming from someone called MALICIOUS Metal, but I did always think Memes and Games was like a family. Yes, there's bound to be some conflict, especially between younger siblings but in the end we're all human beings. We want to be acknowledged, we want to have fun, to be part of the popular clique.

Yet with Airman and Fish's disciples clashing in almost every comment section the peaceful atmosphere of M'n'G has been tainted. In the end it's all just one great misunderstanding between the two parties, due to the lack of them not knowing the other's goals. But yes, Airman wants to build up an empire of Kindness where people help each other out, improve in league, not only as players but as human beings.

Yet the way this goal's been tried to achieve is totally against the values I hold as a player. I always assume people have the best intentions, always thinking people are kind and polite but the way this "War" is progressing it looks like people are taking this way too seriously. It has to stop or at least be a bit more playful, less serious and especially not a tool to badmouth others.

'Cause in the end everyone wants to get some delicous cookies.

So, as a player, I urge you to look at the way you've been duking it out on the boards ant hink to yourself "Is this really the way to recruit new people and strengthen the bond, to become a realy community we can be proud of?"

Just some food for thought coming from someone who's recently rediscovered how much I care for the people I call friends on these boards. So please: -Be Kind -Be Polite -Try to keep things civil and fun -Bake cookies -And give me your souls.

The incessant spamming of a handful of people talking about themselves and each other instead of League almost has me hiding the Memes & Games board through FEK. A year ago M&G would once in awhile have a thread about Laughing Fish, but otherwise was about League funnies, but now it's mostly inside jokes and the occasional League pic thrown in as a half-hearted attempt at being different than GD.

Yeah like it stopped being funny and some of us even told them in guild chat enough is enough.

Remember kids: Drama is in story, gameplay, and everything else that isn't memes.

On a more serious note:

Sure, some people say that asking LF to tone it down a bit is perhaps an insult to him and has earned his throne. But does that mean he has the right to be an insensitive jerk to those around him? As someone with so much influence on the boards and as someone many people look up to, I feel like he should at least try to be a good role model to SOME degree.

Just my 2 cents.

Now Ryze will be running around collecting hostile Memes so that someone else wouldn't use them, to save Memes & games from the disaster it already once put itself to.

A meme war like this has been brewing for a while.

When airman decided to ask the fish to join her, his ego stood in the way, making two very distinct sides.
