No one understands body types these days.

Gangplank is fat in much the same way Sion is fat. They aren't; they're barrel chested. It's the look of a guy who has gained muscle from rigorous work with no emphasis on body sculpting, which requires starving and dehydrating oneself, which ironically results in diminished strength. If you look at strongmen, they LOOK fat, but they're, well, massive, because they emphasize function over definition.
