ehh second one was pretty boring and 4th was interesting but just kinda disappointing. but that first one was amazing. The concept was brilliant.

In all honesty the plot was shit, there was almost no theme or real driving force behind the movie(s). The only reasons that franchise succeeded were Johnny Depp, Keira Nightly, and Orlando Bloom. (and some well choreographed fights/battles.) That's it.

You want to know the worst part? I've seen all four movies more than once, and own them on DVD. I'm afraid the diagnosis is "forgetful old fart".
