In NA, we mostly use MIA instead of SS. And we passively aggressively spam the enemies missing ping when people die to the gank.

I can already say you are wrong. We in NA know how to use our pings. We also say MIA.
I will also never play on EUW ever again, worst gaming experience I have come across in my life, and I've played some shitty games.
NA player, can not confirm that we say "ss" in chat. Instead we spam missing pings until we either can't ping for a few seconds.
Usually i hear NA players say "mia" and EU players say "ss" more often.
But that's just me. Never heard an EU player call mia.

you obviously do not know NA, we do not say SS, its MIA. Though the chances that the mid laner remembers that there are 4 other members on his team are quire low pre 15 minutes.
