I have literally had a 
flash to get a cannon minion that I was about to get with fotm proc as she was spam pinnging over me to back off (the whole game she was freaking out about me touching her farm and was trying to deny me super hard). She had less than 200 health. We were laning against 
. I'd just used my 
w to save her from Draven's ult and spat her under tower so she could recall. I'll give you three guesses as to what happened shortly after.
Sometimes you have that nice ADC who lets you do it. Other times, you get "AFK MY SUPPORT KEEPS TAKING MY CS!!!!!!!"

I just got called stupid for wanting to take farm as rakan with relic. Because "i'm mid i need farm, you're support" so i explained to ori how relic works and she just told me to shut up cuz what i was saying was stupid.
like i honestly don't know what's so hard to understand that if 2 people get the gold you get double the gold.
The procdmg relative to minion health is very bad come mid-late game. Agreed.
But I think the item itself has more value than the alternatives, and the lower gold income might be part of the power budget.
Honestly the item has been out so long there's no possible way someone who isn't new doesn't know what it does. The ads who are like that are doing it deliberately.
When you've got your ENTIRE team telling the adc "FOTM gives you the gold and health even dude" and he still pings your and types "FUCK OFF" I swear, does he just type, and not read ANYTHING at all?
The problem usually isn't the ADC. It is the middle laner. Most ADC's ping cannon minions early game like they think I don't know to take it. Middle laners will use their full burst combo when I have all 4 charges up sitting their smacking the cannon minion. I always respond to this by spam pinging my face of the mountain charges and then just say "that's how you tilt a support."
once had a match where it was 3 marksman bottom...
2 of us played fair and got relic shield...our CS and score for the lane were awesome
by 5 minutes in or so, we had a score of 6/1 with 4 of those fed to a nasty carry and 2 caught as pickup because they would not have been able to get them or simply to save them
that carry then ran off to "jungle" yelling that we weren't playing the game right and then...we proceeded to get creamed because the "carry" didn't want to follow through with a working strategy and got caught by the opposing jungler repeatedly while the underfed real carries left behind couldn't keep up with the opponents' fed jungler and carry that was ahead in CS
we had their first tower to like 1% in 5 minutes and the person ruined it for no reason...
marksman are dangerous when they can use the items of another class
