I laugh at anyone who says ADCs are garbage. ADC mains are big babies for the most part and QQ if their champs are anywhere near balanced. I haven't had any trouble at all carrying with an ADC this season compared to previous ones.

Probably because you're Bronze/Silver.

Their itemization is garbage atm, compared to tanks who have better sustained damage while being super tanky. Combined with CotC, making them unkillable by adcs. It's a pretty sorry situation to be in. For a role that's supposed to be a 'CARRY' they're having problems actually carrying. If you're playing against a team of similar skill level, following meta comps, if you get behind and lose lane there's pretty much nothing you can do all game.

But in bronze/silver/gold, you can do pretty much whatever and it'll work out. Because everyone's bad, and it's pretty high chance you'll get a low skill lane opponent, low skill junglers and midlaners who wont roam and punish you. You won't be getting 4 or 5 maned for first tower gold, or whatever. Ya know?

I think adc's need a class update packed full of buffs. They never got any attention, except that one time. And they can't do anything, except when they carry the game. They item 3072 can't item 3046 even item 3153 survive item 3812 against item 3036 tanks with their crappy dps, sustain, movement speed itemization......

It's not adc's that are weak, it's divers that are strong in this early game meta. They just need to buff back the bot tower (and all the other towers) and rework divers to have more counterplay. Then we will have less 4 man bot ganks. They already tuned back a lot of power on junglers' early ganks.

As someone who's been playing ADC since S1, yeah. People in the role always swear its underpowered, though I guess when you're in the perspective of being a player with a target on your head right out the gate and there's been several metas where its desirable to camp bot, it bogs your judgement. The role can still carry a game but it requires more time since this meta is tankier and take more items to beat down.

I think the biggest problem people have playing ADC is understanding how important positioning is. If you are out of position, you are going to get focused down quick.

According to my teammates, Lux ADC is the new meta.

(yes, we won the game because I was 18:1 KDA and still had 100 more cs than anyone else in the game and held the enemy Tryn to 17 cs at 8 mins....over a 2k gold lead on him at 14 mins cuz fiddles is the best champion in league of legends and im the best fiddles NA)

when i watch alot of streams of diamond+ its almost the same thing every game (80% of games), bot lane is whoever doesnt die usually wins lane. They just wait for the gank of 3-5 people to come and kill the other 2 and take tower in under 8 min, then immediately rotate to dragon. I feel that being a silver anything below gold level (no experience with plat+) doesn't need to follow the meta in any way since their are too many mistakes being made in game of either mechanical skill, decision making, or lack of game (warding, marco, cs, etc). I dont ever see anyone in pro streams ever throw away a game with the lead acquired in this meta.

People see ADC as weak is because unless they are really fed, they are not good until 4-5 items are completed which are usually item 3031 item 3036 item 3085 item 3072 item 3006 . Yesterday I saw Doublelift get solo killed by a VI under a turret when he was 2/0/0 verse a 0/2/1 for the VI when he had 3/4 health and Vi had full health with no minion support. That is one reason people see them as weak since that should be a fight he is supposed to be able to win.

Norms are not comparable to ranked either since most people are either bronze or trying something new to them or just warming up for the day with a game or not taking it seriously pushing the champions limits to learn them.
