OK, so I'm curious; if you are mid Yi vs a mid Yi what would be your optimal build? For arguments sake, let's say all the other players on both teams are irrelevant.

I thought this was gonna be a joke like:
"two Yi's walk into a bar, they both stub their toes and trip since the bar was their skillcap."
And they both say "gg noob team" despite them going 0/7
Sorry, just my experience with probably a about 90% of Yi players. This once happened to me 3 games in a row.
Any other build is a troll build.

I came here looking for a groan-inducing pun. I was disappointed.
Bloodthirster and Blade of the Ruined King for healing, Thornmail and Ninja Tabi for damage reduction, Thornmail to return damage, Phantom Dancer and Infinite Edge for critical strike change, high AD and attack speed for Wuju Style.
If the other players are irrelevant and you just want to kill Yi than 
and full ASPD rune page. The DPS is going to be far greater than other builds listed here and the only way for another melee champ to beat it is with Thornmail (in which case you would have to change the entire build to deal with Thornmail). If they don't have thornmail the amount of armor they have is irrelevant as they will die instantly.
Your lookin at more than double the DPS listed by OP. Shame this build is so stupidly expensive as Twitch could hit potentially ~25k dps with the right build (ult hitting 5 players) allowing for a fairly easy 1v5 in the right circumstances.

You are looking at this way wrong. Build is insignificant compared to which one spams '1v1 me scrub', 'do u even lift', etc harder
