This is, sadly, far too true. All night last night was people just spamming BS platitudes trying to get shotcaller honor. "Hey guys, don't go in 1 at a time" (even though no one was going in 1 at a time) or "group up" while we are all standing next to each other.

The honor update already needs a new update.

In my 4 years of playing, I had never seen a GLHF at the beginning of the game. Now you have one or two people on each team saying it in all chat.

I make a mental note not to honor those people, clearly just doing it for the new system.

Yeah, we don't want those fake non toxic teamwork callouts. We want the REAL deal... just be happy if it works, who cares if it's fake? Being jaded about a positive change in the system gets us nowhere.

That's the thing, I don't feel like it works if it is clearly someone just pandering for honor points. Regular usage in the past has been the very simple, straight forward "gj" "thx" "blue mid?" "nice hook" etc.

That it stops being helpful and actually seems more frustrating, since you realize that person isn't actually trying to complement you or the team but just farming honor.

I know right. And that wastes time trying to type out anyway. I usually do just a short "gj" or "nice mid" etc.

Better than toxic I think. I've noticed less toxicity at least so far. Quite surprised. I've been honored twice in 3 games and I had a relatively pedestrian few games to be honest on my other account.

I saw this before the honor update ive noticed more toxic people then ever tbh last game this blitz was calling himself god hand faker lord while mf was over there like bronzies kys before it people said gl hf at the start now people think those peopl are try hards

I've been playing for 3 years(i think) and have occasionally seen them before the honor update. Then again i mostly play normals.

They should honestly change the shotcaller category back to teamwork because we don't need 5 shotcallers on 1 team, but we do need 5 people who can work together.
