I still disagree with it.
The problem came from Riot removing the metal that made Mordekaiser. The reason "Master of Metal" didn't fit anymore was because Riot took it away. Arguably the most important part of the champion stripped away in favor of keeping his abilities the same-ish, and new particle effects.
What Morde needs is a full on Sion level rework. Throw his abilities in the trash and bring out what makes the Master of Metal. The problem wasn't the idea of Mordekaiser, it was the design.

Medieval stories of revenants have common features. Those who return from the dead are wrongdoers in their lifetime, often described as wicked, vain, or unbelievers. Often the revenants are associated with the spreading of disease among the living.
Mordekaiser shows up, spreads disease as he passes, is wicked, has perform evil acts (necromancy) in his life, and wields metal.
Iron Revenant really does fit Mordekaiser well.
Now let's get morde a visual update, all the bells and whistles (and gongs and riffs) so our iron warlord of the underworld can be as visually imposing as he ought to be

I don't think anyone outside of the boards/reddit care tbh. Morde mains are probably more worried about the upcoming nerfs due to the shitty rework.
