It makes perfect sense. It's a reference to the Flintstones.

Like in the cartoon she has a pet giant lizard. She is using bones instead of hair pins/clips. Her house and everything in it is made of STONE.

Everything that is "technological" like the TV there is still also just made out of bones and stone. It probably powered by fireflies or glowing larvae.

Whoever did the art for that page did a lot of good work. If I were any good at Trist I'd probably get the skin.

Oh i know the flintstones. I also add that they did a magnificent work for that, since it adds a lot of colorful humor, and is not by any mean an harsh critic for that.

Still it does not make friggin sense ( in a good way): i don' t see schoolgirls flying half naked because they want to reference kill la kill! :P
