It does actually, especially against zed.

Noc bullies him early because of all of the steriods and Noc can spellshield at anytime during deathmark's .75 cast time to block it. Plus Nocturne is amazing at roaming post-6.

You have to be pretty effective with Nocturne though. Laning with him is rather tricky because you can't really freeze the wave and mana management is very important.

In a nutshell: Is the enemy midlaner a melee assassin? If yes, Nocturne will crush them Is the enemy midlaner an immoble burst mage relying on a form of CC to survive? If yes, Nocturne will crush them Does the ranged enemy midlaner have one long CD dash or blink to survive? If yes, Nocturne will crush them post-6 Does the ranged enemy midlaner have multiple dashes or blinks to survive? If yes, Nocturne will feel sad...so he'll gank bot instead

No one starts the game with IBG. Ezreal does not have the early damage to kill Nocturne, Nocturne can chase down or at the very least just straight out push Ezreal Worst case scenario: just push and roam with Nocturne with his absurdly strong level 6 ganks and screw over his team instead

anivia does well against nocturne despite being immobile though, cause her Q can pop his spell shield then stun him, and her wall can interrupt his ult dash for some reason

Unless you underestimate how much damage shen does. He actually deals a ton of damage o.0 I also think shen became a lot easier to kill compared to old shen over time. summoner 31

If you wanna farm, it's basically impossible to not stand between Shen and his blade, if he positions it right. Especially if you are melee. summoner 31

well that covers the first sword pull but not every one after that ya know? besides how common is it for you to go in before level 2 were you'll be between them and the sword anyway before taunt

Shen players like to set their sword up before the minions spawn. Also, not only does getting hit by Shen's sword punish you because Shen gets that AS, you'll also get slowed when running away from Shen. So what you do, you set up your Spirit blade, CS a bit just like your laner, Q so the sword goes through them and out trade them with ease, they can't really say no to the trade because they'll be slowed! summoner 31

tried this, it was funny against the poor poppy, would of oppressed her more in lane (because no mana costs) if I didn't walk into her explosion foolishly thinking it didn't hurt, but it was interesting. Thanks for the tip.

Generally true.

But you can always count on Zed to turret dive you the moment you hit half health. I'm suspect Zed players are just Riven mains taking a break. ;p

I recall playing a game... I wasn't mid, but their mid was Zed and I think ours was... Ahri? Not really sure, but... Like... 40 seconds after laning started, I saw in chat "Zed no summoners." I was just like "...Already?" She didn't even die.

Start item 1027 item 2031 ( item 2010 x3 if you have the mastery ) and build into item 2033 if you continue to have mana problems. This will work with every champion that has mana issues.

Nocturne so underrated in the mid lane... he shits on Zed and Talon pre 6 and post 6 if he gets fed enough... his roams are the things of nightmares (literally) he can bully very hard, his all ins are great, and his spellshield is bread and butter for mid lane 1v1's.

Idk why Nocturne isn't more popular, love playing him and shitting on people with him
