Honestly I couldn't get into this one. Read the manga first. After Bors I just stopped. Too much death.

Wut, I love manga with some seriousness in to. I'm not much into non-seinen, ecchi- comedy types with no blood shed if they are suppose to be assassins. Samurai Harem was a joke. Akame ga kill ahd some ecchi- like moments but all around it was serious. I accept the death

Considering how my favorite manga is Berserk, I'm normally fine with death in story. The problem I had was the author kept trying to make the characters actual characters and then kill them off.

Or maybe I just didn't enjoy the blatant sadism in all of the villains (I don't mind the ice lady whose name I forgot. But that kid who cut off people's faces while they were alive and that extra chapter that involved three girls being tortured made me annoyed).

I don't even know what Samurai Harem is. I read Keyman, One Punch Man, Berserk, Nanatsu no Taizai (Ban is fun) and a bunch of others.

Esdeath was her name. And I agree on the killing them off part..... However i didn't mind the sadsim part. That is what makes them as a character imo. And i am probably the only one who think one punch man is the stupidest thing in the world.....the plot is very dumb to me

I enjoy the plot due to the main character. He's surprisingly wise and it's nice to see a character that is so powerful and doesn't really get caught up in drama. He's selfish but in reasonable ways.

Because the point of the show isn't the physical struggles, but the social and societal struggles of the setting.

The sea King and asteroid arcs probably showcase it best.

It's also satirical.

Dude it is literally just foreign cartoons.

Frack western animation it is going downhill. It is so bad they have to reboot things (TMNT, Ducktales/DarkwingDuck, Looney Toons, Samurai Jack, etc.) to keep going because we've lost originality and a lot of the original content is meh.

It's just anime tends to just be silly in their animations, dialogue, and in general mannerisms of characters. At least stereotypical ones, ones that look like the one you posted. It's just a different culture that I don't particular enjoy when it comes to movies or shows.

This is just a comment for if you ever want to get into anime, I recommend you start on an adaptation of a well acclaimed novel. That way you can have faith that the characters will be defined out of standard anime tropes. Two that I could recommend of that ilk would be "Shin sekai yori" also called "from the new world" or one that I haven't watched but have heard is good "Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo"
