When you lose an early trade because of a 1% crit rune

I can't even count how many times the 1% crit has surprised the enemy for a kill early game as

The best is when I go for a crippling strike and it crits (darius w deals 30% bonus damage so the crit just goes ham).

When the enemy loses a trade you mean, right?
