Zuko and Iroh were both really annoying, and Sokka was kinda snotty. I get that was supposed to be the point but all the characters were stereotypes for the majority of Season 1.
Katara: Mother figure Sokka: Comic relief/Annoying brother Zuko: Generic villain Iroh: Comic relief for the "bad" side Aang: "Fun-loving kid with a tragic past, repressing his memories
Aang is really the only one that's pushing it at all, but the rest are really predictable.
However, the end of S1 was amazing.

Once team fights kicked in though.... Between me and Sona, our Volibear was effectively immortal. They couldn't even harass. XD

we won. and also snagged an awesome ult and baron steal while i was at it. Sej Support gets shut down hard in some comps, but against a Raka and MF i just dove the pig and fed the Stache.

3TWarrior1 votesi'd say exhaust has more value than smite, but perhaps heal or even teleport, lol, the shaco roams XD can you imagine the top or mid laner screaming as shaco suddenly bursts out of the bushes with a clone when they hadn't seen him anywhere but bottom lane? and just for more fun, you can drop a box on your way to gank and they have to divert their course or end up killing themselves in the process
crippler381 votesyou can take exhaust and one other active but I like to take smite to help with jungle pressure and the jungle items are basically more cost efficient sightstones with better upgrades (because they give you more than hp) and with smite you can take dragon really fast with whoever your jungler is, as well as help push the wave by smiting the siege minion to half health it, or you could skip the wards because shaco boxes and get yourself a nice chilling smite for an extra slow and some true damage.
shaco actually can use pretty much every summoner very well in every position with the only mandatory one being smite in the jungle. Other than that free to pick whatever you want

NaturesMayhem1 votesWhen I ask my team if they would mind if I played a off-meta jungler. Shyvanna autolocks jg and says for me to go top if im going to do that crap. I lock Bard top and fought a Garen. Spent the entire game easily out farming the Garen and wrecking him though I never killed him. Garen roams from top when I think he backed and kills Shy. Shy rages blaming the fact im playing Bard. Come late game and we win I was 11/0/10 in a 37 min match a item from full build but I didnt back to buy it. She blames me for saying that I sat back and ks'd. Check the graph I have most damage to champion on my team and practically saved everyone on my team dozens of time and she reports me :P. Check my match history if you dont believe me. Off meta rocks. I suggest Mord jg.

it's a ton of fun to play bard as a support carry...he's actually the only TRUE support carry...soraka will kill herself, Sona scales solely off of AP and mana(of course her group stun is fun though), Nami AD was a thing somewhere, but I rarely have he 6300 IP for her, but lol, that crowd control, heal and damage makes it acceptable
